The attacks of 9/11 were so unthinkable that most Americans would refuse to believe the complicity of their own government, even if presented with a mountain of evidence.

Very simply, it is possible to escape blame if you do something that nobody in the world believes you could do.

????My friend Dennis Kyne wrote a song that we recorded together while he was staying at my home in January. He was in Baton Rouge in order to attend, and to speak at, the "Jazz Funeral For Democracy" in New Orleans, a counter-inaugural demonstration that activists from south Louisiana had organized.

????The song is called "All We Want Is the Truth."

Working Assets Action Initiative

Another milestone as 9/11 skepticism migrates toward the mainstream: an intelligent notice and action proposal from venerable activism clearinghouse, Working Assets. Please forward this widely to 9/11 lists, sites, peace groups, etc. - Ed.

Despite repeated Bush administration claims that it had no inkling prior to 9/11 that terrorists might use airplanes in suicide missions on American soil, the New York Times reported that the FAA received 52 intelligence reports referencing Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda in the months before September 11. What's more, the FAA warnings were documented in detail by the bipartisan 9/11 Commission almost six months ago -- well before the November election. Over the objection of the Commission, the Bush administration classified this particular report and delayed its release.

A thoughtful reader's response to Dr. Griffin's approach to the challenges we face. – Ed.

I began writing this letter before David Ray Griffith wrote his opinion on how the movement should proceed. Having just read his thoughts I am more convinced that I need to share my views. I read his first book on the topic, The New Pearl Harbor. Obviously I believe that he understands the problems with the official story. He was able to create a compelling account for someone who was interested in learning. However; I disagree that the strategy we should employ is to make our argument with evidence.

A wise meditation on tactics and approaches for the months ahead. We quibble a bit with Malaprop's see/hear/speak-no-evil advice re 9/11 disinfo and dunces, but agree that simply distancing oneself from the phony theories is usually better than noisy demonization. Still we do occasionally have to show that we too can tell wheat from chaff. - Editor

EVERYTHING points to a frame-up, complicity--you name it. There is enough evidence for them to swing from a rope a 100 times. The problem is getting a real investigation, a courtroom. At this point IMHO, all of our time would be better spent in learning interviewee skills under hostile conditions.

Furthermore, anyone who cannot keep their temper, and has so little self-control, is a ball and chain that I don't want to have to depend on to save this country. I don't want to mess with loose cannons. The way I feel is I have no time for, nor do I have interest in baby-sitting somebody whose ego outweighs the objective of saving this country. One is to just put their ego in a box out of sight for a year.

The Hearst-owned Popular Mechanics magazine takes aim at the 9/11 Truth Movement with a cover story in its March 2005 edition. Sandwiched between ads and features for monster trucks, Nascar paraphenelia, and off-road racing are twelve dense and brilliantly designed pages purporting to debunk the myths of 9/11.

The article's approach is to identify the 9/11 skeptics movement with a series of mostly physical-evidence issues, while entirely ignoring vast bodies of evidence that only insiders had the means, motive, and opportunity to carry out the attack.

January 28, 2005-The evidence that certain elements of the government intentionally allowed and caused the 9-11 tragedy appears to be extremely strong. See, for example, Painful Questions by Eric Hufschmid, Synthetic Terror by Webster Tarpley, and The New Pearl Harbor and The 9/11 Commission Report: Omissions and Distortions by David Ray Griffin.

After failing to obtain any competent investigation or tangible results from the 9/11 Commission, the White House, or Congress (many of the governmental personnel responsible for preventing an attack on the U.S. have actually been promoted since 9-11), many Americans are asking whether justice may be obtained through the courts. The answer is complicated, and it would be impossible for a brief article such as this to do anything other than scratch the surface concerning 9-11 justice.

Instead of being the final word on 9-11 legal issues, this article is intended to be an introduction to strategy regarding 9-11 lawsuits, and a practical discussion of how to avoid some of the landmines present on the path to the courtroom battlefield which could knock the unwary out of the game before they even get started.

CAN WE WIN A 9-11 LAWSUIT?

Legally, I believe we should win in court. If the facts surrounding the 9-11 attacks were applied to the elements of the law in a vacuum, then I believe that many of the real 9-11 perpetrators and accomplices would end up behind bars. There is strong evidence from numerous sources that the 9-11 attacks could not have occurred without the assistance of people in our government. Under theories of murder, criminal negligence, conspiracy, treason and other doctrines, the perpetrators should be found guilty and brought to justice.
