Leader of Serb death squads 'was top CIA agent'SERBIA: Gabriel Ronay Sunday Herald (Scotland) March 22, 2009 THE LATE President Milosevic's secret police chief and organiser of Serb death squads during the genocidal ethnic cleansing of disintegrating Yugoslavia was the United States' top CIA agent in Belgrade, according to the independent Belgrade Radio B92. The claim that from 1992 until the end of the decade, Jovica Stanisic, head of Serbia's murderous DB Secret Police, was regularly informing his CIA handlers of the thinking in Milosevic's inner circle has shocked the region. Stanisic is said to have loyally served his two masters for eight years. He is facing war crimes charges at the International Criminal Court at The Hague. In the terrifying years of Yugoslavia's internecine wars, he acted as the willing "muscle" behind Milosevic's genocidal campaigns in Croatia, Kosovo and Bosnia, including Sebrenica.

CIA Documents Released in Trentadue (OKC) CaseOn March 18 we received the following email--CIA documents (posted here) have been released in the ongoing case regarding the murder of Kenneth Trentadue. Email author Jesse Trentadue, Kenneth's brother, who is an attorney in Salt Lake City continues to relentlessly pursue justice in his brother's death, apparently at the hands of the FBI, in spite of significant governmental obstacles. A brief article about Trentadue by Andrew W. Griffin was published December 3, 2008: Brother of slain inmate speaks out, says DOJ thwarted serious investigation. Background--Readers will recall that the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City was bombed April 19, 1995. Extensive information about the OKC bombing is available at Oklahoma City Bombing Investigation Committee, and an excellent review, "Key to the Truth in Oklahoma--4.19.95 and 9.11.01" by Holland Van den Nieuwenhof was published here on April 18, 2008.]

CIA and Other Intelligence Agency Links to Global Drug Trade (Video)by Reprehensor In 1996, directors Chris Hilton and David Roberts released "An Unholy Alliance" as the second part of a trilogy of documentaries dealing with the global drug trade, with a focus on heroin and opium. The documentary offers a valuable history of the drug trade, with much rare footage, including footage of CIA favorite, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar. Since Hekmatyar is back in the news, now is an important time to remind people of Hekmatyar's dubious past, and his links to the heroin industry in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The CIA and the Afghan Arabs An Unholy Alliance starts off in Peshawar, which was a major hub of activity for the CIA and the ISI, as they deployed the Afghan Mujahadin in a proxy war against the Soviet Union, beginning in 1979. Since the 1980s, CIA apologists like Peter Bergen, and former CIA station chief Milton Bearden have claimed that the CIA never directly trained the Mujahidin and the associated Arabic recruits;

Secret of the Lusitania: Arms find challenges Allied claims it was solely a passenger shipAn article from December '08 that we missed, providing important historical information.

By Sam Greenhill Her sinking with the loss of almost 1,200 lives caused such outrage that it propelled the U.S. into the First World War. But now divers have revealed a dark secret about the cargo carried by the Lusitania on its final journey in May 1915. Munitions they found in the hold suggest that the Germans had been right all along in claiming the ship was carrying war materials and was a legitimate military target.

A.I.G. -- Part Two of a Multi-Part SeriesIn light of this week's news about AIG, we wish to remind readers of a very important "From the Wilderness Special Investigation" underway just prior to 9/11/01 ... following is a very brief portion of a very thorough series.
– Ed.
by Michael C. Ruppert ...FTW has also conducted an extensive investigation into AIG and its predecessors, including the C. V. Starr Insurance Companies, revealing deep connections to US intelligence dating back to the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) in World War II. These connections include documented CIA operatives connected to drug smuggling from Southeast Asia and a current board member, Frank Wisner, Jr., whose father was a key figure in the creation of the CIA. History, as well as AIG's current operations, suggest that these relationships continue unabated today. ... Deconstructing AIG The seemingly mundane insurance business is, in fact, one of the primary weapons of intelligence gathering around the world. And the founder of AIG, Cornelius Starr, was an architect of its use in World War II. Consider these quotes from a September 22, 2000 story by Los Angeles Times reporter Mark Fritz entitled, "The Secret (Insurance) Agent Men."

John Pilger Confirms Multiple RFK Shooters on Democracy Now! 6.5.2008by Reprehensor, posted at 911blogger.com, June 5, 2008 Amy Goodman made note of the 40th anniversary of the assassination of RFK today with a tribute that included a useful history of the life and times of RFK, but Goodman also parroted the establishment line that Sirhan Sirhan killed RFK. Following this statement, Goodman played a segment of an interview with Sirhan's brother, Munir. During the segment, Munir notes that Sirhan has no memory of what happened that night at the Ambassador Hotel, and never has been able to remember what happened that night. Goodman then talked to John Pilger on the telephone, and Pilger made the stunning admission that not only was he there that night 40 years ago, he heard multiple shots, says that the shots kept coming even after Sirhan had been wrestled to the ground, and he told this to the FBI. Something tells me that Pilger would strongly agree with the recently released acoustic evidence;

'CIA Secret Experiments', by National GeographicOn the 40th anniversary of Robert F. Kennedy's assassination on June 5, 1968 and death on June 6th, National Geographic has produced a powerful new documentary, CIA Secret Experiments. This riveting video reveals astonishing new facts on the assassination at minutes 28 to 37. Numerous facts in the film suggest that RFK may actually have been killed by a manchurian candidate programmed to commit the murder under the influence of hypnotic mind control. The RFK assassination is only one section of what is one of the best documentaries exposing top secret government mind control programs. ...

April 19 -- Day of remembrance - 'Key to the Truth in Oklahoma'It is with great sadness that we honor today the victims of the Waco massacre, April 19, 1993, and the Oklahoma City bombing, April 19, 1995. We honor those who tried to stop these crimes and have paid the price, and those who continue to seek the truth, and justice, for this country, many of whom continue to pay the price for this necessary 'eternal vigilance' and remarkable courage.

"Government complicity in the OKC Bombing and the 9/11 attacks has been proven not only by the obstruction of justice but by the use of terrorist dupes, be they willful dupes or not. And by all indications, these actions continue. Apparently some have failed, others will not..." Key to the Truth in Oklahoma by Holland Van den Nieuwenhof [W]henever Oklahoma captures the national headlines, it is usually not good news. Thirteen years ago, 168 people were murdered when the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building was bombed. Though largely overshadowed by the 9/11 attacks, the impact of the bombing is still felt in this state. Just about everyone in Oklahoma City knew someone or knew of someone who was killed or injured in the bombing. And although it attracted less attention, the suicide-bombing of Joel Henry Hinrichs III outside Gaylord Memorial Stadium during an Oklahoma and Nebraska college football game in October of 2005 gave many people here the shivers of times past. In 2001, Tim McVeigh was executed as the lone bomber of the OKC Bombing. His hapless accomplice Terry Nichols is lingering on, serving a life sentence for his assistance in the crime. Justice was supposed to have been served with those sentences, the case closed, time to move on and get on with our lives. But the truth to that tragedy still eludes us. Soon after the bombing, Oklahoma State Representative Charles Key formed the Oklahoma Bombing Investigation Committee and impaneled a grand jury, despite the best efforts of Oklahoma City District Attorney Bob Macy and the state media, to foll0w the loose threads of the official investigation. They collected evidence of Federal and State government lying and obstruction of justice from day one. Their thorough dismantling of the official myth was published in Final Report, issued in 2001.

Tibet and the March 10 commemoration of the CIA’s 1959 ‘uprising’By Gary Wilson Published Mar 19, 2008 Has Tibet become the front line of a new national liberation struggle? Or is something else happening there? ... In 2002 a book titled “The CIA’s Secret War in Tibet” was published by the University Press of Kansas. The two authors—Kenneth Conboy of the Heritage Foundation and James Morrison, an Army veteran trainer for the CIA—proudly detail how the CIA set up and ran Tibet’s so-called resistance movement. The Dalai Lama himself was on the CIA payroll and approved the CIA’s plans for the armed uprising. The CIA put the Dalai Lama’s brother, Gyalo Thodup, in charge of the bloody 1959 armed attack. A contra army was trained by the CIA in Colorado and then dropped by U.S. Air Force planes into Tibet. The 1959 attack was a CIA planned and organized coup attempt, much like the later Bay of Pigs invasion of socialist Cuba. ...

Iran showdown has echoes of faked Tonkin attack / Declassified study puts Vietnam events in new light "The National Security Agency has long resisted the declassification of material
on the Gulf of Tonkin incident, despite efforts by Senate Foreign Relations
Committee staffer Carl Marcy (who had prepared a staff study on the August
4 incident); former Deputy Director Louis Tordella, and John Prados to push
for declassification of key documents. Today's release is largely due to the
perseverance of FOIA requester Matthew M. Aid, who requested the Hanyok study
in April 2004 and brought the issue to the attention of The New York Times
when he learned that senior National Security Agency officials were trying
to block release of the documents. New York Times reporter Scott Shane wrote
("Vietnam
Study, Casting Doubts, Remains Secret" by Scott Shane, New York
Times, October 31, 2005) that higher-level officials at the NSA were
"fearful that [declassification] might prompt uncomfortable comparisons
with the flawed intelligence used to justify the war in Iraq." The glaring
light of publicity encouraged the Agency's leaders finally to approve declassification
of the documents." (emphasis added) (http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/NSAEBB/NSAEBB132/press20051201.htm)

Nick Juliano A dramatic showdown at sea. Crossed communication signals. Apparently-hostile craft nearby. Sketchy intelligence leading to ratcheted up rhetoric. The similarities between this week's confrontation between US warships and Iranian speedboats and events off the coast of North Vietnam 44 years ago were too hard for many experts to miss, leading to the question: Is the Strait of Hormuz 2008's Gulf of Tonkin? On Aug. 2nd and 4th, 1964, the USS Maddox and the USS Turner Joy, patrolling off the North Vietnamese coast, intercepted signals indicating they were under attack. Within days, Congress passed the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, which paved the way to the escalation of the Vietnam War. However, as some intelligence agents suspected at the time, the Aug. 2nd attack took place after the USS Maddox fired first, according to a National Security Agency report released in 1995. This week another NSA report surfaced, confirming suspicions that the Aug. 4th attack never happened.
