MADISON, Wis. -- Controversial University of Wisconsin-Madison lecturer Kevin Barrett appeared on WISC-TV's "For The Record," discussing his views on the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, Islamic studies and the class he is teaching this fall at UW-Madison.

Recently, 61 state legislators signed a resolution calling for UW-Madison to fire Barrett over his outspoken views that the U.S. government orchestrated the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

Pentagon Papers hero Daniel Ellsberg adds his voice to the eminent chorus calling for a new 9/11 investigation. Interviewed by Jack Blood on Alex Jones' radio show Wednesday, July 19, Ellsberg also expresses his fear of a new Reichstag Fire incident and decree as elements of administration Iran attack plans. Jack Blood: Have you had a chance to take a look at a lot of this information coming from America's leading scholars, physicists, engineers, etc. Who have taken a look now at 9/11 and are now, not only questioning what might have happened on 9/11, but really being very direct including a number of high level ...

Daniel Ellsberg: Actually, I have looked at a lot of that, and I'll tell you without going into it all which would take a lot of time, I find some of it very implausible and other parts of it quite solid, and there's no question in my mind that there's enough evidence there to justify a very comprehensive and hard hitting investigation of a kind that we've not seen, with subpoenas, general questioning of people, and raising the release of a lot of documents.

'9/11 Truth' Movement: Just Weird to Completely Insane

Instructive look into the recently 9/11-jostled mind of a bright but clueless liberal facing the wild Internet bazaar of "9/11 truths". His logical revulsion at holograms, satanists, passenger consolidation, etc. is expected and reasonable, and he does seem to want to sort hypotheses in a somewhat rational way (at least one that coincides with his own timid preconceptions and doesn't require any tedious research to sustain). Especially interesting is his concluding meditation on 9/11 scepticism's enduring media invisibility and how the right might have changed all that if Gore was president on that day. - Ed.

Recently I wrote a column that included an offhand comment about how I was pretty sure people who believed the U.S. government was behind the 9/11 terror attacks were pathetic lunatics living in basements whose Web sites got 10 hits per day. I've since heard from many such people, assuring me that they don't live in basements, that they aren't crazy and that their Web sites are very popular.

I was also encouraged to check out the "9/11 Truth" movement, for what I was assured was conclusive evidence of an unspeakably evil government plot. Having done so, I've discovered a number of interesting things.

Dagbladet, Norway's third largest newspaper, has now picked up the 9/11 truth thread with a full page feature piece by one of their top writers. Except for a mistaken reading of our Zogby poll press release (70 million--not 70%--of voting age Americans disbelieve the 9/11 Commission), Ms. Rygg offers her readers a quirky and highly effective introduction to official story absurdities. - Ed.

IT FEELS A BIT like entering a porn site. Forbidden, exciting, something for socially misfit gloaters. So I enter www.911truth.org with the brakes on, ready to back off in shame and with a giggle. What makes me hesitate to enter the homepage of USA's biggest organization of 9/11 skeptics is the lustful concept of ?conspiracy theory?. For is it not just the high and stoned and very alternative who can bring themselves to believe something else than the official story of September 11? Wild radicals? Drug addicts?

No more. 70 percent of Americans in voting age doubt the official story of what happened on that day that changed the world. And that is not primarily due to government paranoia. It's simply due to the questions being too many and the official answers too poor. When they even exist, that is.

9/11TRUTH: More and more people in the USA are convinced that the American authorities are concealing their involvement in the September 11th tragedy. Statements from witnesses, marked confidential for several years, now show that controlled demolition may have taken place. The US government had long anticipated such an incident - as the Republican document from 2000 Rebuilding America's defenses indicates. The 9/11Truth organisation believes that the USA probably orchestrated an incident of this type in order to justify the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as the curtailing of civil liberties within the US through the introduction of The Patriot Act. It has now emerged that the America's most senior military leader in 1962 devised a plan for a premeditated attack on Americans, which would have involved shooting down a passenger plane, so that the blame could be cast on Cuba. So why should this be excluded today? Many also believe that Pakistani intelligence cooperated with the CIA and Al-Qaida because the former transferred significant sums of money to the hijacker Mohammed Atta in the days leading up to the 11th of September. They even had Bin Laden under surveillance during the time of his treatment in a military hospital in Peshawar, Pakistan in September 2001.

WASHINGTON, July 3 ? The Central Intelligence Agency has closed a unit that for a decade had the mission of hunting Osama bin Laden and his top lieutenants, intelligence officials confirmed Monday.

The unit, known as Alec Station, was disbanded late last year and its analysts reassigned within the C.I.A. Counterterrorist Center, the officials said.

The decision is a milestone for the agency, which formed the unit before Osama bin Laden became a household name and bolstered its ranks after the Sept. 11 attacks, when President Bush pledged to bring Mr. bin Laden to justice "dead or alive."

Associated Press coverage of the New York 9/11 Truth group's "9/11 First Responders: Voices From The Pit" speak-out. This is the group's latest outreach effort to the toxin-stricken first responder community, which badly needs the solidarity given the stunning official neglect it still endures. - Ed.

David Miller coughed into a napkin, leaving behind a quarter-sized smear of blood.

The hacking is a constant reminder of the 10 days the National Guardsman spent clearing debris at Ground Zero.

Forty-eight hours after he arrived in the smoking aftermath of the Sept. 11 attack, Miller said yesterday, the health effects from airborne debris were obvious and severe.

"I was practically blind, I was coughing, I had blisters all up and down my arms," he said. "If I'd been smart I wouldn't have gone back."

Today,* Miller's health is crumbling. The 39-year-old Bronx construction worker said he suffers chronic lung infections, skin rashes and a 60 percent drop in lung capacity.

Miller and several other 9/11 first responders spoke yesterday about lingering health problems at The Community Church of New York on East 35th Street in Manhattan. The forum is part of a series of lectures, films and public protests organized by the nonprofit group New York 9/11 Truth. The organization accuses the government of covering up intelligence failures leading to the attacks and allowing first responders to work in toxic conditions at Ground Zero, among other charges.
