In an epoch characterized by international criminality and malfeasance perpetrated with impunity by those in the highest echelons of society it is imperative that there exists an objective and uncensored media cooperative to scrutinize such state-sponsored lawlessness.

The mainstream media throughout the world has become infiltrated and compromised by those who have a vested interest in a global war without end. The failure of the media, both public and private, to critically analyze the actions of the global elite and their bought-and-paid-for political spokespersons has compelled ordinary citizens to innovate, organize and attempt to combat this state-sponsored war on truth.

The Citizens' Broadcasting Cooperative represents one front in this global struggle against the psychological war being waged by elites and their political representatives against humanity. We at the Citizens' Broadcasting Cooperative suspect that the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and its twin, the British Broadcasting Centre (BBC), are being prepared for privatization which we believe is tantamount to theft from those tax payers and global citizens who have funded, sustained and benefitted from public broadcasting historically. The Citizens' Broadcasting Cooperative while having no affiliation with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation does identify with the ground beneath its feet, namely the citizens of Canada for whom the Crown Corporation was founded.

UPDATE: ABC's George Stephanopoulos has taken responsibility for not challenging former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani on the mayor's assertion on Good Morning America Friday that "we had no domestic attacks under Bush."

As noted below, a Giuliani spokesman "clarified" the mayor's statement later in the day, arguing that the mayor meant no attacks after 9/11.

"Whatever the mayor meant, it’s not what he said," Stephanopoulos wrote on his ABC blog. "All of you who have pointed out that I should have pressed him on that misstatement in the moment are right. My mistake, my responsibility."

The former New York City mayor who has sometimes been mocked for using "a noun, a verb and 9/11" in stump speeches appears to have forgotten -- or has mentally reclassified -- the worst terrorist attack on American soil. "We had no domestic attacks under Bush," Rudy Giuliani told ABC's George Stephanopoulos Friday.

Even if Giuliani doesn't consider the attacks on 9/11 a "domestic" attack then surely he forgot about the anthrax attacks of 2001 or an Egyptian national who attacked the El Al ticket counter at Los Angeles International Airport in 2002.

While ABC's George Stephanopolous let Giuliani get away with his misstatement both during the interview and on his blog, ABC's Jake Tapper called the former mayor out. "Giuliani's comments that there were zero terrorist attacks under Bush, 1 under Obama, is false no matter how you slice it," tweeted Tapper.

Update at bottom: Matalin 'lied' about Bush inheriting recession

No amount of spit and polish can clean the tarnish of the 9/11 attacks from the Bush legacy, but that didn't stop GOP strategist Mary Matalin from trying.

During a Sunday appearance on CNN, Matalin attempted to prop up an analogy between the first year of George W. Bush's presidency and that of President Barack Obama's. Raising the specter of rising unemployment, anchor John King wondered whether Republicans have the right to attack Democrats over the economy.

According to a CNN transcript, Matalin--seated across a table from her husband, Democratic strategist James Carville--gave a response which was a little more than blindly partisan.

"I was there," she said. "We inherited a recession from President Clinton and we inherited the most tragic attack on our own soil in our nation's history. And President Bush dealt with it. And within a year of his presidency at this comparable time, unemployment was at 5 percent. And we were creating jobs."

The attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 happened during the Bush presidency. While administration officials said repeatedly that nobody could have predicted such a devastating attack, an August 6, 2001, briefing delivered to President Bush -- titled "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S." -- later surfaced.

State-owned television channel France 2 just decided to cancel the historic French debate which was announced earlier this week by Jean-Marie Bigard and reported on World911Truth.org, ReOpen911.info, Infowars.com, 911Blogger.com, and many others. This has been confirmed by Mathieu Kassovitz on Friday.

France 2 supposedly cannot find four credible people that want to debate 9/11 against Bigard, Kassovitz, Laurent and Harrit. Surprised? Maybe we have judged Barack Obama too quickly. Maybe he is right when he says that 9/11 is not debatable. Even one of the most important television channel in France cannot find credible people to support the official story.

Historic 9/11 Debate with Bigard, Laurent, Kassovitz and Harrit on French TV

You have until October 28 to learn French because French TV France 2's "L'objet du scandale" with Guillaume Durand will air a historic debate over the official version of the 9/11 events.

On one side: 4 people with the hard task to defend the official version. On the other side, Jean-Marie Bigard, Mathieu Kassovitz, Éric Laurent and special guest Niels Harrit will tell France and the world why they don't support the official theory and why they find it disturbing.

This is already a victory for the Bigard/Kassovitz camp who challenged the French media to organize a fair debate over 9/11 after being vilified by many French journalists because of their positions on 9/11. They have been called many names and even received death threats. But no serious journalist was able to challenge them on their positions and to seriously make a case against them based on facts. Now will be their chance, and like Bigard mentions in the below video, "good luck to them."

Two weeks ago America's media, led by the Washington Times and quickly followed by particularly vitriolic television personalities, blasted Obama-appointed "Green Jobs" Advisor Van Jones for various personal positions and actions taken over the course of his life as an activist. Chief among them was his name being counted among signatories (Van Jones has subsequently denied that he ever signed the 2004 Statement)to a Statement issued by 911truth.org in 2004 asking for answers to 9/11-related questions, signed by 150 other "notable Americans" and 9/11 victims' family members. The ensuing blood bath did not involve Jones' positions on "Green" issues, for which he had been hired to advise - nor did the "Truther" feeding frenzy ever ONCE involve mention of the 12 questions listed on that Statement, questions which remain unanswered now. Readers of 911truth.org are aware of this media side-show, which eventually led to Jones' resignation on 9/12, and no doubt read the statement we issued to the press in response to their calls:

As the eighth anniversary of 9/11 approaches, what doesn't make sense to us is that media outlets choose to impugn the character of the signatories rather than carry out your responsibility as watchdogs to call attention to the as yet unanswered questions raised in the 2004 statement. Five years later, we challenge you to finally print those same unanswered questions and pursue their answers with the same vigor with which you pursue the signatories.

Now, similar "news" coverage is attacking Golden Globe winning actor Charlie Sheen, who dared to ask for a 20-minute meeting with President Obama to discuss 20 points relating to - again - unanswered questions surrounding 9/11. Sheen produced a fictionalized piece, "Twenty Minutes with the President" in which he sat down with "President Obama" to asked about twenty of these yet unanswered questions. Bob McIlvaine, whose son Bobby was killed on 9/11, has also joined with Sheen in requesting this meeting with the president.
