It’s been forty years since the unprovoked attack by Israel on the USS Liberty, in which 34 servicemen were killed and more than 100 were injured. Most Americans have never even heard of this event, and the official whitewash of the true story still haunts many of the survivors as well as the servicemen who pushed for an honest inquiry.
