Report Calls for “Infiltration” of 9/11 SitesAugust 29, 2010 Source: 9/11 Truth News A new report released by a think tank called Demos warns of the hazardous effects of conspiracy theories on society and recommends strategies for governments to mitigate these effects, including the infiltration of websites. The report, called The Power of Unreason: Conspiracy Theories, Extremism and Counterterrorism, says "most notoriously and influentially, the ‘9/11 truth movement’ has questioned the official accounts of 9/11 and has become a large and growing political force." The authors note that the 9/11 truth movement is "peaceful", but make no distinction between the legitimate questioning of the official account of 9/11 and any number of unrelated, and often racist, conspiracy theories. The Demos report acknowledges that "some conspiracies have turned out to be true. Our institutions and governments have deceived the population to advance hidden and unstated interests", and goes on to cite Operations Northwoods, the Joint Chief of Staff’s unimplemented plan to stage a false flag Cuban terror attack in 1963, as well as the CIA’s involvement in the Chilean coup of 1973.

Apology to readers...Dear Reader, You will notice I am once again updating the website - finally! I apologize for the interruption and appreciate your patience. On July 30 my hard drive crashed, taking with it several years worth of the files, emails, addresses, software, calendar and other assorted information needed to manage this site. Hence, we've been in limbo since then. Unfortunately, my backup drive had crashed some time ago and I'd not yet replaced it so I'm having to refuse to go into panic mode thinking about everything that's lost on that drive, and am looking for a reliable data recovery company to salvage our frozen history. (Yes, recommendations welcome! janice [at] 911truth.org, please) and the money to pay for that expensive procedure. Fortunately, a true friend loaned me the money for a new laptop, so we are back! If any of you are awaiting my response to your email sent during July, it's not forthcoming! Please resend and understand I'm really not rude - just temporarily lost! And at the risk of proselytizing, I will take a moment to strongly recommend you go RIGHT NOW and get a backup drive if you don't already have one ... Until I lost access to this stuff, I really had no idea how frustrating the simplest things can be or how much I relied on this technology to manage life! Again, thanks to everyone for your patience and continued readership and support. This week I will try to post the most important 9/11-related news of the last few weeks, such as the few articles added below. Without the software I'm used to, it will take some time to hand-code everything for proper formatting, but it WILL happen! Best wishes, Janice Matthews

Harrit a Hit in Sydney - Standing Room OnlyStory by John Bursill July 19, 2010 On Saturday the 17th of July Professor Niels Harrit of the University of Copenhagen in Denmark gave a lecture called "Did Explosives Bring Down the Towers on 9/11?" to a capacity crowd of concerned citizens. This Sydney audience was generated purely from fliers handed out by diligent activists and one radio interview. Although a handful of independent journalists did attend and a small press conference was held, not one Australian mainstream media outlet was represented. It is now more clear than ever that a culture of silence surrounds the science of 9/11 which proves beyond any reasonable doubt that the Twin Towers and Building 7 were brought down using explosives and incendiary devices.

Free at Last!By Jon Gold July 12, 2010 http://peaceoftheaction.org/2010/07/12/free-at-last/ They tried and tried to put the glove on, but it just didn't fit. I kid, I kid. On March 20th 2010, I was arrested for crossing a police line. Today, I was acquitted for the crime, along with Cindy Sheehan, and Jim Veeder. Sadly, Matthis Chiroux, Elaine Brower, and Lafloria Walsh were found guilty of failing to obey. This was my first arrest and trial so all of this was new to me. Before the trial began, our lawyers and the prosecutor tried to work things out so there wouldn't be a trial. The prosecutor offered a "pay and forfeit" without any conviction, and all of us declined. We stood our ground, and wanted the chance to clear our names. We felt strongly that our arrests were unjust, and wanted our day in court. Cindy told me a couple of times before the trial that it was going to be boring, and it was. The only "excitement" came when Elaine, Laflora, and Cindy were allowed to testify. Everyone did great. When Casey was brought up, Cindy started to cry. I leaned over to Ann Wilcox (one of our attorneys, Mark Goldstone was the other), and said I want to testify. ...

Managed News: Inside The US/NATO Military Industrial Media EmpireSpeaking of managed news and absent truth, why is the media being blocked -
under threat of felony arrest and a $40,000 fine - by the Coast Guard, BP security,
local police, and Homeland Security, from the Gulf? See, for instance, Glenn
Greenwald's July 5 commentary on "The
BP/Government police State" at Salon.com. And this excellent blog entry, "Facing the Future as a Media Felon on the Gulf Coast". (And see lots of important,
excellent investigative research from Project Censored here.)

by Peter Phillips and Mickey Huff July 3, 2010 DailyCensored.com World News "There is nothing so strong or safe in an emergency of life as the
simple truth." We face what appears to be a military industrial media empire so powerful and complex that truth is mostly absent or reported in disconnected segments with little historical context. A case in point: The London Times reported on June 5, 2010, that American troops are now operating in 75 countries. Has President Obama secretly sanctioned a huge increase in the number of US Special Forces carrying out search-and-destroy missions against al-Qaeda around the world? If so, this increase is far in excess of special-forces operations under the Bush administration and reflects how aggressively Obama is pursuing al-Qaeda behind his public rhetoric of global engagement and diplomacy. Somehow this information didn't make it into the US media. The US, in cooperation with NATO, is building global occupation forces for the control of international resources in support of Trilateralist--US, Europe, Japan--corporate profits. A New York Times report on the availability of a trillion dollars in mineral wealth in Afghanistan, on top of the need for an oil/gas pipeline from the Caspian Sea, suggests other reasons for U.S objectives in the region.

William A. ('Bill') Christison (1928-2010)David Ray Griffin Submitted June 18, 2010 911truth.org William A. ("Bill") Christison, a former senior analyst for the Central Intelligence Agency who became a supporter of the 9/11 Truth Movement, died June 13, 2010, due to a rapidly advancing neurological disease, which he had contracted three months earlier. He leaves behind his wife, Kathleen McGrath Christison (who had also been a CIA analyst), two daughters (Lynda Carlson and Judith Wooten), and a son (Eric). He had been preceded in death by two other sons (Robert and Thomas). The memorial service was held in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on Friday, June 18. Born in Boston in 1928, Christison graduated from Princeton in 1950 and immediately joined the CIA to begin what would become a distinguished 28-year career. Starting out as an analyst on Soviet affairs, he worked in the 1960s on the problem of global nuclear proliferation, with special emphases on France, Israel, India, and Pakistan. In the 1970s, he became the National Intelligence Officer for South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Africa. (He and Kathleen met while they were both working in Saigon.) He finished his career as Director of the CIA's Office of Regional and Political Analysis, supervising over 200 analysts covering, between themselves, every region of the world. In 1979, he and his wife retired from the CIA and moved to Sante Fe, where he started becoming more critical of US foreign policy, especially when he saw that the fall of the Soviet Union, which by ending the Cold War was supposed to bring a "peace dividend," did no such thing, but instead prompted the United States to advance its imperial interests. Becoming especially critical of US policy with regard to Israel and the Middle East, he (along with his wife) began writing articles for Counterpunch. Some of Christison's most important work, Counterpunch editor Alexander Cockburn told the Santa Fe New Mexican (Steve Terrell, "Former CIA Agent Bill Christison Advocated for Palestinians," The Santa Fe New Mexican, June 15, 2010), came in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. In a March 2002 Counterpunch article, Christison wrote:

Pentagon Manhunt; Ellsberg, 'Assange is in Some Danger'by Philip Shenon June 10, 2010 The Daily Beast - Blogs & Stories Anxious that Wikileaks may be on the verge of publishing a batch of secret State Department cables, investigators are desperately searching for founder Julian Assange. Philip Shenon reports. Plus, Daniel Ellsberg tells The Daily Beast: "Assange is in Some Danger." (This story has been updated to reflect new developments on Assange's whereabouts, including the cancelation of a scheduled appearance in Las Vegas.) Pentagon investigators are trying to determine the whereabouts of the Australian-born founder of the secretive website Wikileaks for fear that he may be about to publish a huge cache of classified State Department cables that, if made public, could do serious damage to national security, government officials tell The Daily Beast. The officials acknowledge that even if they found the website founder, Julian Assange, it is not clear what they could do to block publication of the cables on Wikileaks, which is nominally based on a server in Sweden and bills itself as a champion of whistleblowers.

Canadian Man Could Be Sentenced to Two Years in Prison for Implementing the LawFormer US Attorney General Ramsey Clark will be speaking
at the University of Calgary - Watch Live
Sunday, June 6, 2010, 4pm-6pm (Mountain time) [11pm-1am GMT] Clark will speak about his relationship to Splitting the Sky, the man who attempted a citizens' arrest on George W. Bush in March 2009. Splitting the Sky was Ramsey Clark's client in the 1970s after his involvement in the Attica Prison debacle. Splitting the Sky will go to court on Monday, June 7th to hear the judge's verdict in this historic case. – Ed.
Joshua Blakeney
Ramsey Clark will arrive in the Canadian oil-patch city of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, this coming June 6th and 7th, mounting pressure on Judge Manfred Delong, who is presiding over the sentencing process in an epochal trial which some have dubbed"The trial of Splitting the Sky versus George W. Bush." Splitting the Sky (STS) on the advice of legal experts Ramsey Clark, Gale Davidson and Anthony J. Hall attempted a citizen's arrest on George W. Bush on March 17, 2009 when the former US president was addressing an audience of business people at the TELUS Convention Centre in the downtown of Calgary (2). In his March 2010 trial STS invoked the Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes legislation, which was enacted by the Canadian parliament in 2000, to submit to the court that he was implementing the law by seeking to apprehend Bush, and was unjustly arrested by police who were in effect "aiding and abetting a credibly accused war criminal." Former US Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney came to Calgary to attempt to testify in the March trial but was prevented from doing so as the judge shut down the trial earlier than anticipated. Instead McKinney spoke at the University of Calgary in support of Splitting the Sky (3). It is hoped by supporters of justice that the arrival of Ramsey Clark in Calgary will help to publicize this unprecedented case in Canadian legal history, the knowledge of which the state and their media accomplices have made a concerted effort to suppress and censor from the public domain.
