On August 6, the UK mass-circulation tabloid Daily Mail published
"9/11 on Trial,"
a review of the forthcoming 9/11 Revealed:
Challenging The Facts Behind The War On Terror
(Ian Henshall and Rowland
Morgan, Robinson Press). At three full newspaper pages, this was the longest and most prominent article ever in
the UK mainstream media to question the official mythology of September 11th.
The Daily Mail did not publish it online, but click
here for an archive of the printed version
, including scans of photos.

July 7 brought the carnage of multiple bombings in London. Our hearts go out
to the victims and survivors.

The official story of the 7/7 attacks has unraveled in record time, and the
accumulating oddities will sound all too familiar to students of 9/11:

A security exercise was rehearsing bombings of the same train stations just
as the attacks occurred
. First reports were that the explosives were
sophisticated military-issue; soon after, they were said to be home-made.
Israeli military radio reported that visiting minister Netanyahu
received an advance warning
of the bombing (subsequently denied). The
official timeline of events made little sense, until it was revised to fit the
emerging cover story. ID cards for the same alleged perpetrator were reportedly
found at two different locations. False trails led to non-existent al-Qaeda
groups with websites in Texas and, laughably, Zarqawi in Iraq. Scotland
Yard investigators argue
whether the alleged bombers intended to
die, or if they were duped into carrying timed or remote-control bombs,
recalling the FBI internal debate about whether the "muscle hijackers"
of 9/11 knew they were on a suicide mission. (In the midst
of these revelations, the capacity of the British police brass to deliver
outrageous lies was exposed after the
killing of unarmed Brazilian Jean Charles de Menezes
by a squad of
police who grabbed him off his subway seat and shot him seven times in the head.)
Tony
Blair has ruled out an inquiry
into 7/7 as a distraction from the vital
task of national unity. The idea of an Iraq withdrawal is off the agenda. Whole neighborhoods are subjected to mass raids and
Parliament debates how many civil liberties to revoke, now that "everything
has changed."

A 7/7 truth movement is emerging. So far, the most comprehensive introduction we have seen is at Julyseventh.co.uk.
This well-organized compendium includes a discussion of possible scenarios, a
growing timeline, archives of news stories, many links to other 7/7
skeptics, the widely-distributed "77
Unanswered Questions About 7/7,"
by John Doe II, and a
section on the relevance of 9/11.

of stories
relating to 7/7.

We are also belated in noting the sudden
death on August 6 of Robin Cook
, the former Blair cabinet minister who
resigned as the Labour Party’s parliamentary chief in protest over the invasion
of Iraq.

Whatever one thinks of him, Cook’s
final column for The Guardian
, in which he emphasized that
"Al-Qaeda" orginated as a CIA database of mujahedeen fighters in
Afghanistan, was certainly memorable:

Bin Laden was, though, a product of a monumental miscalculation by western
security agencies. Throughout the 80s he was armed by the CIA and funded by the
Saudis to wage jihad against the Russian occupation of Afghanistan. Al-Qaida,
literally "the database", was originally the computer file of the
thousands of mujahideen who were recruited and trained with help from the CIA to
defeat the Russians.
Inexplicably, and with disastrous consequences, it
never appears to have occurred to Washington that once Russia was out of the
way, Bin Laden’s organisation would turn its attention to the west.

The danger now is that the west’s current response to the terrorist threat
compounds that original error. So long as the struggle against terrorism is
conceived as a war that can be won by military means, it is doomed to fail. The
more the west emphasises confrontation, the more it silences moderate voices in
the Muslim world who want to speak up for cooperation.
Success will only
come from isolating the terrorists and denying them support, funds and recruits,
which means focusing more on our common ground with the Muslim world than on
what divides us.

We are grateful for Cook’s confirmation that al-Qaeda originated as an
electronic rolodex the CIA shared with Osama Bin Ladin. But of course we differ
with his idea that the policy of creating terrorists is "a
miscalculation." In reality, it is manna to the Western interests who
benefit from an endless "war on terror." Cook could have noted that
the terror-war policy enriches the families
of both
George W. Bush and Osama Bin Ladin, who did business together
right up until 9/11. He could have asked how many
Western intelligence assets Bin Ladin still has in his rolodex today. Or
mentioned that the further history of the CIA-Bin
Ladin connection
stretches at least as far as the eve of the 9/11
attacks and the reported July 2001 visit
to his bedside by a CIA station chief
in Dubai.

But may the dead rest in peace. Who knows what he might have said, had he
lived?

Noel Glynn (contact), who acts
as a secretary to the UK 9/11 Truth movement, sends a message of support for the rallies in
New York and other US cities: "Though we’re far from NYC in distance, we’re only moments away in
cyberspace. Congratulations on these initiatives. We wish you every success. Our
thoughts and prayers are with you in the eye of the storm. May you gain success
in stopping this mad rush to endless war and may you find comfort in your
bereavements and grief. This is a worldwide movement which is growing
fast."

The Oxford 9/11 Truth group plans a march and rally on Sept. 10th to

Since 2004, 911Truth.Org has educated the public about the suppressed realities of the September 11 attacks.

We worked with the 9/11 Families to pressure the Bush administration to convene an investigation into the deadliest attacks on US soil since Pearl Harbor. We attended many of the commission hearings and questioned commissioners and bird-dogged elected officials to get answers to the Unanswered Questions that remain so to this day.

We reported the contradictions, lies and omissions on the public record. 911Truth.Org staff have given hundreds of interviews on radio and mainstream network TV.

We cover a wide range of 9/11-related issues in publishing academic papers, original research, and opinion pieces.

We wish to thank our donors who have kept us on the web since 2004! We appreciate your continued support!
