A former Peabody and Emmy Award-winning producer at CBS News 60 Minutes and ABC News PrimeTime, he is executive producer of The Presidents’ Gatekeepers, a groundbreaking documentary series on the modern White House chiefs of staff, which aired on the Discovery Channel in 2013. For this four-hour series, Whipple interviewed all 20 living chiefs and two former presidents, Jimmy Carter and George H. W. Bush. He is currently at work on a new documentary film for Showtime on the CIA.
