UPDATED:Mar 1, 2019 —

Thanks to support from people like you, this week I was part of something incredible. On Monday I stood by senators Gillibrand, Maloney, Gardner, Schumer, and Nadler as they introduced a bipartisan bill to guarantee compensation to September 11th first responders. After so much uncertainty and suffering on the part of first-responder and survivor families, I feel like we can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel.

But introducing this bill is just the first step. I’m tired of asking sick and dying first responders to travel to DC to beg for the compensation they deserve – we need this bill passed NOW.

Call your representatives and tell them the Never Forget the Heroes Act needs their support.

Over the weekend, our petition has grown to over 300,000 people who believe that our nation’s heroes shouldn’t have to fight for compensation when they are already fighting for their lives. I know that with the right kind of pressure, there’s no way Congress can ignore our voices.

On Monday, I’m going to be in DC with Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and Jon Stewart to announce a huge next step in our fight to get first responders the health care they need.

Since September 11th, over 2,000 people have died of cancers related to the World Trade Center attacks, 184 NYC firefighters. And yet survivors and first responders have had to fight to get the support and health care they need.

If we make enough noise, Monday’s announcement could change that. Will you help us spread the word about this campaign before then? Click here to share.

And stay tuned for Monday’s big news!
