SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) - An anti-Castro militant now in a Texas jail warned the CIA months before the 1976 bombing of a Cuban airliner that fellow exiles...
If it weren't for the current media frenzy over Congressional youth abuse, the US public might be getting a much more educational eyeful of Condi Rice's serial 9/11 truth abuse. Outed in Bob Woodward's new book "State of Denial" for "brushing off" July 10, 2001 warnings of an imminent attack from CIA leaders Tenet and Black, Condi first disputed the claims, denied the meeting happened, then said she couldn't remember, and finally admitted to it but said it contained nothing new (yet apparently told the CIA team to report it to Rumsfeld and Ashcroft which they claim to have done on July 17). The 9/11 Commission was briefed on this dramatic encounter, but it somehow escaped mention in their final report, and finger pointing and official contradictions continue to this day. Although there are plenty of mainstream articles now recounting this high stakes he said/she said blame game, the following blog piece focuses on a critical facet--the role of the 9/11 Commission's executive director, Phillip Zelikow, in covering it all up for his old and new boss, and further shredding the credibility of the Commission's report.
Having won his initial battles with rightwing censors in the Wisconsin legislature, 9/11 truth champion Kevin Barrett continues to stoke illuminating controversey at the university and in the local press. This Sunday Kevin and Scholars for 9/11 Truth colleague James Fetzer again convulsed the UW campus under the poetic auspices of the UW folklore department.
The Badger Herald, "the largest fully independent daily campus newspaper in the nation," seems clearly torn by the issue, running sympathetic coverage of the event as their lead story today, but simultaneously attacking it in a sniffy editorial which we include at the end. UW's other campus rag, The Daily Cardinal, was even cuter, running Barrett's photo on the front page with just a terse caption, "UW-Madison lecturer Kevin Barrett delivers a seminar discussing Sept. 11, 2001 Sunday in Social Sciences. The lecture was taped by the British Broadcasting Corporation." Kevin's truth-telling again took on statewide implications when the lawmakers campaigning for his dismissal heard about the BBC taping and renewed their howl that Barrett be silenced and fired. To be continued (we pray...)
Escalating mainstream mistrust of "official 9/11 story" driven by important new films, books and activist campaigns; promises new openings for insurgent candidacies and radical reform initiatives.

Looks like a few on the left are finally learning the ancient vertebrate art of pattern recognition. Were they to step one year further back, they might finally recognize the real Big Picture, and how and why this five-year "fright fest" all began.

Excellent albeit belatedly posted reportback on Stone's WTC opening in Oakland, CA, courtesy of Bay Area truth warrior and Green congressional candidate, Carol Brouillet.
Keith Olbermann takes it to the edge again showing the amazing coincidence of this administration's political needs and US media screens screaming "terror". This enlightening little 10-minute mini-doc clocks ten such recent miracles. "What are the odds?" you may ask, or alternatively, "if Keith had gone one more past 10 would he have arrived at 9/11?"
Very welcome and sane suggestions from a trained legal mind. They may help the movement stay focused and steer clear of harm from the more problematic and/or preposterous hypotheses.
Although 9/11 truth activists in a number of states responded to 911courage.org's call for Gandhian civil disobedience at local openings of Olvier Stone's "World Trade Center' movie, only Florida stalwart Mia Hamel got to take her message all the way into custody. Mia's brave action attracted a lot of welcome media response and a thorny legal challenge. The 9/11 community is invited to offer ideas and support at the 911courage.org website.
